Digital Gift Card Trading Platform Design
Project Overview
I designed a digital platform for securely buying and selling digital gift cards in emerging markets. The product was aimed at solving trust issues in peer-to-peer gift card exchange.
Problem
Users often rely on informal social channels for gift card trading, which exposes them to fraud, unclear pricing, and inefficient communication.
My Role
I led the product design from concept to delivery. My responsibilities included:
-Creating the UX architecture and user flows
-Developing a consistent visual language and interaction model
-Writing UX copy to improve clarity and trust
-Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to refine functionality
Design Approach
-Conversational Filters: Users search listings using intent-based filters to quickly find what they need.
-Verified Listings: Listings include clear attributes like value, condition, and card type.
-Secure Payments: Transactions are completed via generated links that guarantee secure processing.
-Direct Communication: Users can message each other to negotiate before payment.
Outcome
The platform delivers a seamless, trustworthy trading experience and sets the foundation for scale. It balances flexibility for negotiation with guardrails for safety and transparency.
Note: Certain business details and design flows are under NDA and omitted from this public version.
